He also had a symbol for his wife which was a harp because she was a musician. Though she played the piano perhaps the harp symbolized his view of her as his muse. She was immensely powerful in promoting the cultural arts activities of the young and growing Pasadena, California. The city will forever be in her debt for her arts and music programs that still thrive today in the classy & culturally respectable city.
