This was the site of the 1998 "Bryce Retreat @ Ghost Ranch" created by author Susan A. Kitchens as a crucible of creativity in the desert. At the Ghost Ranch Conference Center 45 people from around the country and one from Switzerland gathered for a week with no distractions except a computer lab, the beautiful scenery and Bryce software.
