All these studies are from the same set of DEM maps: The northwest corner of New Mexico, near the town of Abiquiu also known as the area where Georgia O'Keeffe spent the second half of her life. It was also the site of the first annual "Bryce Retreat @ Ghost Ranch" created by author Susan A. Kitchens as a crucible of creativity in the desert. At the Ghost Ranch Conference Center 45 people people from around the country and one from Europe gathered for a week in a low security low tech facility with no e-mail, no fax, no TV, no distractions. Just a computer lab, the beautiful scenery and Bryce software. We kept it open 24 hours a day for 5 days as people lived, slept, and breathed Bryce! We hiked in canyons, we Bryced, we visited Anasazi ruins, we Bryced, we slept, we Bryced. Morning classes, evening seminars, afternoon adventure or siestas as you fancy. It was a heck of a week.
